Griffith Park: Traveling in my old neighborhood

Travel ThursdayVTsignI have time, a bit too much time on my hands these days.  The house is clean, laundry folded and I’ve checked the production jobs board.  So instead of driving myself crazy I decided to explore Los Angeles, my version at least.  Sometimes life gets so busy one forgets what a wonderful place LA actually is.  To that end I took off to Griffith Park.

I used to play tennis every weekend at Vermont Canyon Tennis Courts when I lived in Echo Park and Silver Lake.  Alas, since moving out it’s been awhile so I hiked up to the Observatory the long way.PineCones

Really cool pictures! I have never seen LA from that vantage point. I got to remember to visit Griffith Park next time I come to LA.

  2. Judy, I agree with you that Los Angeles is a wonderful place. I’ve lived here for 32 years and I still feel like I’m on vacation. I love exploring LA’s many neighborhoods, places to eat and natural wonders. My new favorite hangout is Malibu Creek State Park, it’s just gorgeous!

Beautiful pics of a day well spent. I don’t think a younger mind would have been open to the experience of not wasting a day and finding beauty all around. You rock big sista!
