Downtown Los Angeles is home to some of the most wonderfully creative new chefs the country has to offer. One of my personal favorites is Josef Cenento. We first sampled his creations at Opal many years ago with a four course tasting menu for Nahid’s birthday. Then we went to Lazy Ox Canteen before a play and loved his clams. His evolving revolving menu kept pulling us there. When Josef opened Baco Mercat we were defenseless and simply had to go. This is the lunch we consumed…and also our dinner.

I’m always looking for a new restaurant adventure in Los Angeles. The dishes look quite delicious, and hamachi crudo is my all-time favorite. I will definitely give it a try!
